NBA Predictions February 3rd to February 9th 2020

We have an oddity this week.  The program likes the Cavs to win, but has them with a negative average margin.  This occurs fairly inoften but what its essentially saying is the Cavs are likely to win a lot of close games, but thanks to the Knicks having a larger variance on the positive side they win in more blowout fashion.

This week doesn't feature a lot of marquee matchups, but we get Miami trying to tke advantage of the slumping Sixers, and the Nuggets in a very important game on Tuesday against the Blazers.  The Raptors do play the Pacers twice this week, which could have big implications in the East, and we're likely to see some big shakeups of rosters coming on Thursday as the NBA deadline approaches.

NBA Power Rankings February 3 2020

The last power rankings before the trade deadline.  The Sixers and Magic both had rough weeks.  Despite going 1-2, the Sixers got trounced by a very bad Hawks team, and then lost by 21 to the Celtics.  The Magic are in the final playoff spot in the Eats, but thyve lost 4 in a row now, with every game being a double digit affair.  This week they failed to break 100 points in every game as well.

The biggest gainer was the aforementioned Celtics, who beat the Heat, Warriors and Sixers.
