NBA Power Rankings February 12th 2018

The NBA trade deadline might actually be the most meaningful one in all of pro sports.  Baseball often sees prospects go, and the NFL really doesn't do in season trades.  The NBA though  can see huge shakeups as there are really only about 6 or 7 players per team that have an out-sized impact each night.  So now that the trade deadline has passed, its time to start looking at teams like new teams.  The Cavs especially have been completely re-molded, with about half the roster being moved last week.  I'll use this to monitor teams to see how they fair after the deadline, and it will help us see some teams that have gone into tank mode as well.  The post deadline rank is going to fluctuate quite a bit in the next couple of weeks as we get more data from these new teams, so its important to note the Celtics likely aren't one of the worst team sin the league now.
